To access Namtso Lake from Lhasa, one route exists and it passes through the neck Nagenla Mountain. Located at 5,190 meters above sea level, it is an obligatory passage that must be overcome to access this fantastic sacred lake. Even for any car, the climb is difficult, but what a joy once you arrive! Prayer flags are hung everywhere but it is not what makes this amazing place, the Namtso Lake that finally appears. Indeed, invisible until now, it magically appeared there. The landscape of this vast expanse of salt water often provides a sense of serenity to all.
